About
Gwen Sierra is a photographer and video artist based in the Netherlands, working between surreal fine-art portraiture and moving image. Her portraits turn the human figure into something staged and dreamlike: textured, intimate, quietly unsettling.
Alongside her still work she teaches analogue media, passing on the craft of film- and darkroom-based image-making. She co-founded the collective Het Kleinste Kamertje, and today she leads the foundation that grew out of it as its art director.

Het Kleinste Kamertje
Het Kleinste Kamertje is an Utrecht-based collective and laboratory for analogue visual media. Founded in 2019 and based in a darkroom at the cultural free haven De Nijverheid, the collective shares tools and knowledge to introduce young people to analogue photography, from darkroom development and pinhole cameras to cyanotype and mixed-media techniques.
